I forgot...

...to tell you about my hideous nightmare!!
So, after spending quality time with this lovely little family, and all of us working hard to get the kids to smile, etc....I was quite pleased with my results. I ran home and directly set about to download and take a peek at the pictures. To my absolute horror...they were GONE! I was dumbfounded because I had just checked my card before leaving to make sure they were all there and all was in order. Also, my card read there was the same amount of room left as when I finished the shoot..meaning the pictures were there taking up room, I just couldn't get to them! I then set about trying not to throw up and hyper-ventilate....which was hard, in fact it's bringing back those similar feelings just thinking about it. Next I asked hubby to help, then called my bro-in-law and we discussed looking into Recovery Programs. I found a couple of free ones which didn't work....said my card was corrupted beyond repair. What the heck? I don't even know what happened...it would be nice to get some kind of warning, sheesh! Next, I tried some free trials for programs you have to buy. Amazingly one of them found about 80% of the pics, I was super relieved but still bummed, because the following pic was the only family one salvaged, and I knew there were others. Needless to say, I spent the better part of the next day trying out many different trial versions and finally finding one that found ALL of the pictures...so I am now the proud owner of not one, but two Recovery Programs! I cannot tell you how happy I was to find them and how comforted I am knowing if it happens again, I know what to do and have the equipment to do it~ so if it happens to you, give me a shout out and I'll tell you the programs that worked for me!!

  2. Wow we actually had that happen at my work a couple of months ago but we didnt realize until we formatted the card!! we only had half of the pictures but the family loved them and spent almost $2000.00 on the prints so that was a huge relief. I think that is the worst feeling in the entire world. your work is great, we need to talk sometime about pictures i want to ask you a few thigs about your equipment and such
