Take Two on Tie-Dye Techniques

I have had the biggest BLAST with tie-dye (so far) this year! With this latest adventure, I experimented on a couple of new items....first a bib...

I really love it! Problem is, I don't want him to get it dirty, only that's the #1 purpose of a bib...so I've found myself in a bit of a pickle. It might just lay jauntily over his high chair for eye candy....until I can break down and let him actually use it!

I made it of some nice muslin I had hangin' around. I had to add some ric rac because I quite enjoy it.

I also did burp cloths again, cuz they are super fun. Here is a girl variety, although I made a large handful more.

And then this was my other experiment...a teenie, tiny hat! And matching newborn gown!

I gave them, plus a few other tie-dyed items, to my sister-in-law for her new baby girl that's on the way. I sure hope she digs tie-dye! I know I do.

  2. Ah, Lou - your refreshing innovation strikes again! You are the most amazing person I have ever met. -Just bursting with ideas, talent and a delighful zeal for life! (You are just like me in the "I like it so much, I don't want to get it dirty, so I won't use it" mentality. My sister-in-law, Michelle, gave me the cutest apron for my birthday and it's hard for me to wear it since it's so dang cute! I don't want stains or anything on it. But it's an apron for crying out loud! Long live the OCDs. :)

  3. Take it down to "Learning is Expensive" er, I mean, "Learning is Fun" and get it soft laminated. It will stay perfect, and you can just wipe it off! :D Hooray!!

Those cupcakes looked divine...who comes up with those ingredients!

I also LOVED your Tea Party...what a beautiful lacey dress, where do you find such fun and feminine finds? Those lime wedges were incredible.
