I am a Chicken

Not the scared kind.

The kind with its head cut off.

Anyone else feel the same?

Last Sunday I was getting ready for church and the offspring kept gracing me with each of their presences...taking turns of course.

First Mr. C came in with his khakis on backwards. How does one manage to get one's pants zipped and buttoned without realizing they are on backwards? Then Dennis marched in. I had to tell him three times that he was buttoning his shirt wrong and had missed buttons before he finally believed me. Next up was of course Miss B who... you'll never believe this... had her dress on inside out. She's 10. And last but not least, on the way out the door I had to tell Dennis his shoes were on the wrong feet. It made for an amusing morning.

I'm afraid I'm going to get to church one of these days with mascara on only one eye or something else silly. And why do kids always default to mom?

And the chicken-feeling doesn't just come from kids. The other main culprits are Dishes and Laundry. They are out to get me I am quite certain.

  1. LOL!!! That is great! I'm sorry, but I had to laugh! What a humorous image that gave me. :D And kids go to mom because they can't get dad's attention! I know that's how it was for me when I was a lassie. I'd love to do your laundry and dishes for more tales like that!

  4. From one chicken to another, I can only offer you my condolences. I SO understand. The only ones to laugh about this kind of stuff are over 65 years old and haven't had it happen to them for a few decades....
