Palo Verde

In general, I am not fond of the Palo Verde tree.  It is a typical desert tree with thorns, green bark, and small, spindly leaves...but in the Spring it is gorgeous.  It produces awesome yellow blooms and then they fall, covering the ground in a breathtaking yellow blanket beneath the tree.  I love this time of year when the flowers are out and everywhere you go, you can see the cheery yellow blaze of trees.  I do enjoy yellow.

So I took the kiddies out one evening for some quick snaps with the fabulous yellow.

And one with me too because I'm the one who liked it in the first place and plus I just got a fancy new haircut.

Mr. C requested a photo by these lovely blooms as well.

Ahhhhhh.  Isn't that the best?  Too bad it's almost over now...

  4. Breathtaking indeed! The flowers aren't bad, either. ;) You look SO glamorous, Lou! And I fancy the colorful carpet of blossoms about the base of the bush. Simply lovely!
