Whirlwind Engagements

So while on my travels, I stopped in Utah for an Engagement and Bridal session.  The groom-to-be is my cousin. He's only a few years younger than me and I am glad he turned out to be such a nice, great guy, because he was my nemesis as a kid.  Errrrrg.  I swear he'd punch me if I looked at him wrong.  But he doesn't punch me anymore, in fact we get along swimmingly... so it's all good.

Anyway, we had a bunch of fun tromping down alleyways in the blasted, stifling heat, stopping for Italian sodas, chatting with folk walking by, trying to find suitable costume changing areas in a city and on a mountain, racing up the canyon trying to beat the sunset and getting lost a couple of times, fending off crazy swarms of mosquitoes (you really should have seen us between takes...everyone waving arms and jumping around...we unfortunately forgot bug spray), and the usual laughing that accompanies serious faces and awkward poses.  Good times.  My sister came along as well to help with props and poses and equipment and most importantly...to keep the mosquitoes off of me....she's the best.

So enjoy.

I love the "&" that he is holding up. I've never seen that done before. WAY cool! Great shots, Lou! :)

  6. How exactly do you get along swimmingly and if you can't swin does that mean your relationship is actually drowning? Anywho I absolutely LOVE all the props etc. Your set designer did a fabulous job and I'm a bit envious that it was not me. Miss you.
