Four Days New


This first set-up took cooperation, oodles of determination, perseverance, patience, an inhaler, some Benadryl (I'm allergic to their cat), a bowl of Cheerios, a banana and a cookie...collectively...but it was so, so worth it.

Those lips.  Could you just die?

These last two pictures (above and below), feature special quilts.  The above quilt was made by the baby's mother and the sweet hexagon quilt below was hand-stitched by a great-grandmother years ago.  Can you imagine cutting AND sewing all of those tiny hexagons?  Apparently she made it all with old clothes.  It is fabulous.  A work of art.  I was drooling.

I must check and see if my grandma has a vintage hexagon quilt tucked away...
