Our friend hosts a fabulous Flashlight Egg Hunt every year... and it is always amazing. I was so excited to be able to take my family this year and let them see firsthand the awesomeness. The entire gym floor is covered in toys, eggs and candy and the kids go nuts. Some of the little ones are overwhelmed and a bit confused but it is such a blast. The older kids love to sit down and trade when it is all over...it is their favorite part. Mr. C told my sister and dad that while they wait for the parents to talk, they trade. That way, if you are a 9-year old boy and are stuck with Care Bear socks, you can probably swap with a little girl for the whoopee cushion she cares nothing about. But I do love to watch them in action. Miss B is a pro. I worry about her victims...
We also made some hysterical scuba-diving eggs with the older kids. My sister got the idea from Family Fun and decided we needed to make them. And when all of our little egg friends were complete, we spent a good bit of time posing them and taking their pictures in multiple and various ways. Such a delight. Why do I get such a huge kick out of dressing up and taking pictures of eggs?
Both ideas I have never seen before. What fun. What are the flippers made out of on the Humpty Scuba Dumpty men?
ReplyDeleteIt's just black craft foam!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the scuba eggs...I'll have to show Cody. And your flashlight picture is very true to life...it's all a blur!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of Twin taking pictures. i'm glad you guys had fun, even though i'm sure you missed me terribly ;) we missed you kids!
ReplyDeleteCorrection, the flippers are made of your husband's fly tying foam.
ReplyDeleteYup, the scuba divers are the cutest thing I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteDennis is starting to look so grown up and handsome. So sorry I missed the flash light hunt and good think I wasn't there for the scuba posing I think you would have had to kick me out of the house.
