Cherries

My in-laws have a cherry tree.  My kids think it is thee coolest and love to pick the cherries.  We happened to be visiting recently when they were ripe (or almost ripe as my husband pointed out...he's pretty much a cherry expert as he grew up picking cherries and selling them with his siblings).  Grandma gathered up some old ice cream buckets and set the kids to work.  They LOVED it.  It was a beautiful evening, they got to climb in a tree, plus they got to sample as they worked. 

Annnnnd it even kept Q occupied for a good half hour or so, which is miraculous.  He kept saying, "We have to pick the therriesth off the thwee and then eat them."

I was so excited to take our bucket home and make some yummy cherry treat and eat the rest, but Q kept getting into them and throwing the ones he deemed "yucky" away and so I put them on a very high shelf and I kept telling myself not to forget the cherries, and guess what I did?  I forgot the cherries.   Yep.  So bugged.  But at least I have pretty cherry pictures to look at.
