My little sis came for the weekend. It was lovely. We took the kiddies to the splash park...and lounged whilst they frolicked. We painted my toenails and her fingernails a very bright hot pink that I finally found. It makes my little tootsies look more tan. It's a secret trick.
We went shopping at some favorite thrift stores on Saturday. I found a wooden yellow pear. Ha. So great. I also got a an old blue jar, a small Hummel painting and a couple of kids books. I'm always on the lookout for cheap books since my kids go through them so quick.
For lunch, along with my hubby, we went to eat some delightful pizza. We got a white pizza and a margherita pizza. Yumm. I love the white pizza the very best. All that ricotta, fresh basil, garlic, and mozzarella are outrageous laying there on a wood-fired crust. Outrageous.
We also took the rug-rats out for ice cream at my favorite spot. The little ones got good and sticky and managed to get in the way of any and all customers. As usual. Seems requisite really.
We also watched Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (it was a great flick), and went on lots of walks and bunny chases in the evening when all of the little bunnies appear. It was a fun weekend. But I realized we did nothing, NOTHING at all in the way of remembering anybody for Memorial Day. I feel bad. I need to be better. We should have done something. Oh well. Next year I will try harder. I guess we did hang a flag, but still...
Way fun! I would have loved to go on a bunny hunt! Love the ice cream pictures!
