And Big Sister and Brother were so entertaining. While we were packing up to go to the next location (ie change baby, feed baby, load baby...babies are time consuming), they were busying themselves with an overturned tote and some chopsticks which they had re-purposed as a drum set, and were happily singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star....in varying genre types ranging from Lullaby to Hard Rock. It was quite the cutest thing.
Speaking of kids and their antics...why do little boys love to jump over neat piles of folded laundry like it's the most fun thing in the whole universe and nothing at all makes them giggle quite like it...especially when the piles fall over and you can't really stop them because it's the cutest thing/ most maddening thing all at the same time? Why?
Did you know I possess certain skills? Certain get-children-to-look-at-me-and-sometimes-adults-too-with-looks-of-happy-amazement skills? Yep. I do. I can make strange noises that sound like a baby/alien/weirdo. It always stops kids in their tracks and gets them to look at me and usually laugh. Mostly because their parents are laughing. But it works. Pretty much every time. This guy kept trying to mimic me. He thought it was an alien language for sure.
CHEEEEEEESE!
I'm going to have to get you to record some of your alien sounds and send them to me. I CANNOT get Jared to look at the camera. Talk about MADDENING! I'd rather have folded laundry scattered about! ;~)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the huge cactus in the background, so unique! And yes, it is an odd sound. Not sure how to describe it either. But glad it works!
