Meanderings and Such

We revisited one of our favorite spots... Boyce Thompson Arboretum.  There are very few lush places full of foliage in this desert where we live, so when we find a pretty one, we like to go back.  Especially when the weather is most lovely.  Like right now.

We meandered along paths dappled by sunlight coming through the branches of majestic trees.  We saw woodpeckers, Monarch butterflies, olive trees and kissable statues and working sundials.  Dear ol' Dad whistled a tune with a bird in the trees.  It was the coolest.  The bird would answer his tune over and over.  He was like Snow White pretty much.

I couldn't resist another photo opportunity with the turquoise truck and one of grown up Miss B.

And this time we discovered a delightful kid-sized maze and Q ate a sucker in 1.2 seconds.

Also, Mr. C made faces at me through the green house door.

And we took a picture by a rock.  Dad had us all say "Snaaaaakes" instead of cheese.  Except I didn't because it makes me look weird when I say words and try to smile for pictures.  Plus Dad evaded the camera again.  He's an expert.

The only problem with adventures, is that our weekend projects don't get worked on as much and the garage is in a state of perpetual chaos.  Oh well.  They can wait I guess.  The children will be grown up and moved away in a mere blink.   I'd like to fill that blink with as many hikes, picnics, bike rides, camp outs, road trips, and family outings as possible.  Adventure, here we come!

  2. If you look closely in your sunglasses you will see that hubby didn't COMPLETELY evade the camera. :) Not quite the expert he thought he was.
