We had a Young Women leadership meeting at my house last week and I decided to turn it into a tea party as well! I have been waiting for a good opportunity to use all of the tea cups and saucers I have been collecting, so it was perfection.
I also have a collection of pink depression glass plates and saucers and set them out with some random floral plates I have. Don't ask me why I have such a collection of random/vintage dishes....I just like them apparently.
I bought some pretty pinkish/purple ruffled tulips and Miss B suprised me with some giant carnations just because she's a sweetheart. For a runner, I used some of my Great-grandma's vintage fabric. And I got out my set of vintage and tarnished silver spoons...because I've been collecting those too. I learned the correct way to set a table for tea...and I just guessed!
Our menu consisted of Cucumber Sandwiches, Cheesecake Bites, Goat Cheese Bruschetta, Chocolate-dipped Strawberries, Scones and Clotted Cream, Coconut Cake and Berry Lemonade instead of tea. We snacked on goodies while we discussed plans and strategies. It was so fancy and fun and a great way to mix up our usual meetings.
I really wish we would have taken a better photo of all of us, but this phone snap is better than nothing...also I had scones and clotted cream for breakfast the next morning. :)
So fun! I love your talents Erika!
